Description
The SCCY CPX-3 Flat Dark Earth takes SCCY’s proven CPX-3 design and gives it a flat dark earth frame and stainless steel slide. This one has a flat dark earth frame and stainless steel slide, a 3.10″ barrel and holds 10 rounds in the magazine plus one in the chamber. It is light, slim and simple to run, which is exactly what most people want from a carry pistol.
Flat Dark Earth is a nice middle ground. It looks a little different from the sea of black pistols but still stays low key.
Why people choose the SCCY CPX-3 Flat Dark Earth
.380 ACP kicks less than 9mm in a gun this size. That makes it a good fit for smaller hands, newer shooters, or anyone who is sensitive to recoil.
Every CPX-3 is double-action-only and hammer-fired. Each pull of the trigger cocks and drops the hammer, so the pull is long, around 9 pounds, and it is the same every shot. Nothing sits partly cocked, and if a round ever fails to fire you can simply pull the trigger again for a second strike.
There is no manual thumb safety on this one. The long, deliberate trigger pull does that job, the same idea as a double-action revolver, so you just draw and press.
There is a short Picatinny rail up front if you want to add a compact light or laser.
Inside, SCCY uses its Roebuck Quad-Lock barrel system and a polymer frame around an aluminum chassis. The result is a pistol that stays light without feeling flimsy.
Who the CPX-3 is for
The CPX-3 makes the most sense for first-time carriers, people on a budget, and anyone who wants a backup gun that disappears under a T-shirt. It is also a common pick for a vehicle or nightstand gun because it is simple to operate under stress.
Before you carry it, put a couple hundred rounds through it at the range so you know the trigger and how it groups. Pair it with a good holster that covers the trigger guard, and keep a spare magazine handy. Extra SCCY magazines are cheap and worth having.

How buying a handgun online works
We do not ship firearms to your door. Every gun ships to a licensed FFL dealer that you pick at checkout. When it arrives, you fill out the federal Form 4473, the dealer runs your background check, and you take it home. You need to be at least 21 to buy a handgun from a dealer.
Some states and cities limit which models or magazine sizes can be sold. Please check your local laws before you order. If we cannot legally ship to your area, we will cancel the order and refund you in full. See our FFL transfer page for the full details.
