Why SCCY

Why so many people carry a SCCY 9mm

SCCY (you say it "sky") builds small, affordable pistols in the USA. It is not a match pistol and does not try to be. It is a carry gun, and at this price it does that job well.

01

Small and light

A 3.1" barrel and about 15 oz unloaded. It fits inside the waistband, in a pocket holster or in a purse.

02

10+1 capacity

Eleven rounds of 9mm in a gun this size is a lot. Many pocket guns only hold six or seven.

03

Simple trigger

Double-action-only on the CPX guns. Every pull is the same, with second-strike capability.

04

A color for you

Black, FDE and gray if you want it low key. Pink, purple, lime, orange and blue if you want it to be yours.

Compare

SCCY CPX-1 vs CPX-2 vs DVG-1

All three are 9mm, hold 10+1 and use a 3.1" barrel. The difference is the trigger and the safety.

FAQ

SCCY 9mm questions we get a lot

Is the SCCY 9mm a good gun?

For the money, yes. It is small, light, holds 10+1 rounds and has a simple double-action-only trigger. It is not a competition pistol, but as an everyday carry gun at a fair price it is one of the best values out there.

What is the difference between the SCCY CPX-1 and CPX-2?

They are the same 9mm pistol. The CPX-1 has a manual thumb safety and the CPX-2 does not. Size, capacity and trigger are the same.

How many rounds does a SCCY 9mm hold?

The CPX-1, CPX-2 and DVG-1 hold 10 rounds in the magazine plus one in the chamber, for 11 total.

Does SCCY make a red dot pistol?

Yes. Models marked RD ship from the factory with a Crimson Trace CTS-1500 red dot already mounted. We carry RD versions of the CPX-1, CPX-2 and CPX-4.

Who makes SCCY pistols?

SCCY Industries, an American company. The CPX design traces back to firearms designer Joe Roebuck, and the guns are known for their low price and small size.

Can a SCCY 9mm be shipped to my home?

No. Handguns bought online must ship to a licensed FFL dealer. You choose a dealer near you at checkout and pick the gun up there after a background check.
