Description
The SCCY CPX-2 RD Purple Frame takes SCCY’s proven CPX-2 design and gives it a purple frame. This one has a purple frame, a 3.10″ barrel and holds 10 rounds in the magazine plus one in the chamber. It is light, slim and simple to run, which is exactly what most people want from a carry pistol.
If you are tired of black-on-black, this color stands out in a good way, and it is easy to find in a crowded safe or bag.
Why people choose the SCCY CPX-2 RD Purple Frame
Going with 9mm means cheap practice, easy-to-find ammo and a long list of proven defensive loads. It is the round most carriers settle on.
Every CPX-2 is double-action-only and hammer-fired. Each pull of the trigger cocks and drops the hammer, so the pull is long, around 9 pounds, and it is the same every shot. Nothing sits partly cocked, and if a round ever fails to fire you can simply pull the trigger again for a second strike.
There is no manual thumb safety on this one. The long, deliberate trigger pull does that job, the same idea as a double-action revolver, so you just draw and press.
It comes from the factory with a Crimson Trace CTS-1500 red dot already mounted. With a dot you focus on the target, put the dot where you want the hit, and press. Most people shoot a dot faster and more accurately once they get used to it, and you skip the hassle of buying and mounting an optic yourself.
Inside, SCCY uses its Roebuck Quad-Lock barrel system and a polymer frame around an aluminum chassis. The result is a pistol that stays light without feeling flimsy.
Who the CPX-2 is for
The CPX-2 makes the most sense for first-time carriers, people on a budget, and anyone who wants a backup gun that disappears under a T-shirt. It is also a common pick for a vehicle or nightstand gun because it is simple to operate under stress.
Before you carry it, put a couple hundred rounds through it at the range so you know the trigger and how it groups. Pair it with a good holster that covers the trigger guard, and keep a spare magazine handy. Extra SCCY magazines are cheap and worth having.

How buying a handgun online works
We do not ship firearms to your door. Every gun ships to a licensed FFL dealer that you pick at checkout. When it arrives, you fill out the federal Form 4473, the dealer runs your background check, and you take it home. You need to be at least 21 to buy a handgun from a dealer.
Some states and cities limit which models or magazine sizes can be sold. Please check your local laws before you order. If we cannot legally ship to your area, we will cancel the order and refund you in full. See our FFL transfer page for the full details.
